Carlos Newton decisions Shonie Carter at W-1 "High Voltage" last night:
"The bout, originally scheduled for the promotion’s welterweight title, was whittled down to a three-round affair after Newton was unable to make the 170-pound cut-off. To make matters worse, Newton missed the agreed catch weight by five pounds, forcing him to surrender another chunk of his purse to Carter."

I was so disappointed to hear Newton missed weight. Apparently he was over by about 10 lbs, which is insane. It’s too bad, I was thinking that a few wins might win Carlos a ticket back to the UFC, what with their newfound affinity for signing old-timers, but he really put the brakes on his comeback with this (even though he won).
Back to the UFC?
The guy had lost like 7 of his last 10 fights before this.

I know, but he’d taken a long break and come back at 170 after an ill-advised stint at 185 where he’d looked clearly out of shape. If he could look good beating a few guys like Shonie Carter, he could conceivably up his stock enough to make it back to some major promotion, especially since he can be billed as a former UFC champion. Actually making it to the UFC is just wishful thinking on my part. But hey, if Phil Baroni can do it…
So are you saying Carlos Newton looks like Goku? He does kind of.
for all intents and purposes, just consider all my posts as works of satire.
