Brock and Shane in the same cage is going to be scary. Thats a lot of power in one ring. I think this fight is going to come down to how Shane fights off his back…I expect Brock to show some more dominating ground and pound, shutting down his opponents defence, like he did Frank.

But man, it’s gonna be exciting.

Carwin better have a better answer than Frank did

…for that half-guard top game. He either needs to be strong enough to push Brock off, have better hips to roll out to the side, or pull some jits out of his ass that Frank doesn’t have.

Otherwise I’ll be crying myself to sleep. AGAIN.

If it does, then UFC 106 is not for you. I bet King Arthur loves MMA. :)

His jiu jitsu is looking leagues better than the last video highlighting his “jiu jitsu”.

We’ll see.

It’ll be a dark day for the anti-Brock Brigade when he starts ripping armbars out of nowhere.

Brock’s armbar might be an armbreak.

Yeah, as a member of the afromentioned brigade, that would suck.

Seriously, he’s not even going for submissions now, he’s content grinding people down. Rear naked chokes, armbars, etc. from someone with Brock ’s size/power is scary.

scary and very VERY DANGEROUS. He has the power to truly kill someone in the ring. I would never want that to happen but the idea that he has such power to do so is very frightening.

That said, I hope Brock knocks Carwin into UFC 107 at 106.

by BNTHIS on Oct 12, 2009 5:49 PM EDT up reply actions

Dude, BJ has the power to kill somebody in the ring

Lots of fighters do. You think they really could have pulled Babalu off David Heath if he had meant to kill him?

The only reason to bring this up about Brock is that people have serious questions about his self control and maturity in general….

i was totally thinking the same thing about hwo tough it must be to be one of his sparring partners…..one day, someone is going to clip him with that jumping in 1-2 combo he throws…….not anytime soon tho’ probably.

So what if they “clip him”? He’s not Kimbo Slice; he won’t even flinch. He’d probably go “Stop caressing my face, you ****** and let’s go!”

by BNTHIS on Oct 12, 2009 5:51 PM EDT up reply actions

i wouldnt even want to be holding pads for Brock. I wonder how long its taken his sparring partners to realise they have the worst job going.
To be honest i’m hoping he runs through Carwin. Carwin’s whole “I’m an angel, Brock Lesnar doesnt deserve the privelidge of fighting MMA” spiel has got boring pretty quick, to the point that i’m actually hoping Brock takes his head off. Should be an entertaining fight though, thats alot of knockout power in one cage.

lol i concur

I’m sick of hear Carwin’s “The fans deserve the utmost respect” crap.

by Drizzy on Oct 10, 2009 8:40 PM EDT up reply actions

Well we dont deserve disrespect either.

If he flips off everyone and disses sponsor after every fight, will people keep liking him as a person and not just a fighter?

It’s in their nature. He fits the persona of bad guy perfectly

Does anyone know what he’s doing at 1:38? What is that thing he’s spinning and what is the purpose of doing that? Anybody?

Its called a burn machine. I am seeing it used more and more in combat sport training. I bought one a few months back and the name fits.

Did you see that MONSTER TRUCK TIRE he was playing catch with his trainer? I bet he can throw that tire as far as he will throw Carwin’s ass.

by BNTHIS on Oct 12, 2009 5:54 PM EDT up reply actions

My favorite part of these videos is the huge SLAYER logo on the wall in his gym. Being one of my favorite bands this made me like brock even more.. I can just see him destroying one of his sparring partners to some Angel of Death haha

I just got a little scared for Carwin.

I was never a Brock fan cause of how fast he got his title shot. After his last fight I kept thinking how i couldn’t wait for Carwin to KO his ass, but i don’t know i’m starting to think he really might stay the champ for a while.

by J_Maddux on Oct 12, 2009 1:17 AM EDT reply actions

I've said it before, and I'll say it again....

Shane Carwin is going to get DESTROYED!!! I never doubted Shane Carwins power, and I know that he still has the power to potentially hurt Brock, but, after seeing this latest training video…..Carwin has a lot to be worried about. We all knew Brock’s wrestling was his greatest weapon. With his sheer size and strength, once he takes you down and holds you, there is no escaping (ask Mir). But after watching his footwork, and his boxing….Carwin better be watchful. Lesnar looks much more technically sound with his punching. His footwork looks great, and his punching technique looks much improved.

Look at the list of things that Carwin has to worry about

1) Brocks speed.
2) Brocks takedowns
3) Brocks wrestling

Now add these to the list

4) Brocks boxing
5) Brocks transitions
6) Brocks Jiu Jitsu?

Man….I feel bad for Carwin! I personally think this fight will end in Rd. 2 by referee stoppage. I think Brock is going to shoot, take him down, and ground and pound him into submission. But wouldn’t it be awesome if Brock scored a submission on him?! Beat him real bad in the guard, and then when Carwin turns and gives him back, Lesnar sinks in the rear naked choke? Hell…..Carwins head might just come right off with a rear naked choke from Brock! lol

by JAFOrlando26 on Oct 12, 2009 10:25 AM EDT reply actions

Let me tell you something….I HOPE that Carwin is submitted by Brock ’cause then it will shut the “ohhh Brock is from the WWE” and “all he does is lay and pray” morons up for good.

Then they can go back to kissing and god-knows-what-else to their GSP posters again….I would love to see Brock fight GSP…..He’d knock him into the next decade. Or turn him from GSP into MUSH.

by BNTHIS on Oct 12, 2009 6:01 PM EDT up reply actions

GSP weighs like 100ibs less than the guy, what’s wrong with you?
