My man-crush on Shogun...
is to a point now where I don’t even try to hide it. I’m almost proud of it. LHW champ, by mid 2010. #1 P4P by 2011.

THis just sold me the fight
I was so woried about Shogun coming back from double knee surgery, but this video just sold one pay per view. The UFC should use this in there Previews. Shogun is going to win decisivley. I am already lookign forward to Machida vs Shogun. Might be fight of the year.

If shogun doesnt get hurt he’ll be fighting Lidell.

My response to MMALOGIC
Liddell is nowhere close to Rua’s fight class anymore. Liddell is washed up… ARRIBA SHOGUN… MAURICIO SHOGUN RUA Your 2009 LHW CHAMPION…

Um
Where did mmalogic say that liddell was close to Shogun? He simply said he’ll be fighting him next, which is a logical match up in terms of using the old star to create a new star so to speak.

We get it.
You’re Shogun’s #1 fan. He’s going to be champ. Fine, we understand. mmalogic’s point stands: Shogun and Chuck were scheduled to fight already; Shogun needs to beat a “name” to get on the radar of the casual fan in North America; Chuck still wants to fight top competition and he has the cache with Dana White to get that if he wants (though maybe not for long).
Calm down and have a discussion instead of yelling.

Well he looks like he’s in good shape finally but I really think that the move to the cage really hurts a lot of weapons he used to have in pride.
I can’t see him losing to Coleman but I think will be a lot harder for him than a lot of people think.

Shogun
KO diving elbow rd 1.
on another note. He’s really filling out as he’s aging. You can tell he’s still not back to top condition but he’s packing meat onto a big frame. I wonder how long he’ll make 205
Gimme 1 Round!

Shogun looks ok...
Seriously, don’t blow your load so quickly guys.
Knee surgeries coupled with actually fighting MMA can spell disaster. Let’s hope his rehab went well.
He seriously looks good in his standup though. Throwing those kicks off the hips is looking good, but I’m more perceptive to see his aggression. He was a load in PRIDE when he started aggressively stalking you, so that’ll be the most interesting thing to watch.
