Quote of the Day: Tim Sylvia
I think Andrei Arlovski is a douche bag and I think he's bad for the sport. He's rude to fans. I don't like him.

Tim Sylvia calling somebody else a douche bag, saying they're bad for the sport, and claiming they're rude to the fans?

Although detractors decry (MMA) as a brutal, bloody form of human cockfighting, aficionados know it is a brutal, bloody, totally fucking awesome form of human cockfighting. -The Onion

Tim Silvia vs Ken Shamrock….yeah that is awesome for the sport. Tim is such a sour grasshopper. Anyone making $$ more and has more fans than him is bad for the sport. Like being a clumsy, one dimensional and extremely boring fighter to watch, is great for mma and fans alike.
Clumsy, one dimensional, boring AND awkward. I cant stand his fights and Ive never liked him, ever. Twas a glorious day when Randy raped him. :)

please site sources
hey, thanks for posting MY interview. Can you please site the source of it in the future…kind of sucks when People do not get credit for their work.
here is the original link

I am just curious about this, but should the fact that the website is clearly displayed on the youtube video link when loaded but not playing count as citing the source?
For what it's worth..
the source is YouTube when the video comes from YouTube. Obviously we have no problem updating the above story but as has been pointed out…it’s pretty obvious for anyone that actually watches the video. Anyway…thanks for stopping by.

AA will last longer against Fedor than Tim ever did.
And how is AA rude to his fans? I always thought his reputation was good?
Sounds to me like Tim is making a desperate cry for attention. The one constant in MMA is change. You had your time in the spotlight, Tim. Did you make the best of it? Only you can answer that. But your time is done.
I always like my desperate cries for attention dressed in a nice suit and at a press conference for a promotion it does not fight for.
I promise: no more drunken posts
Don't you dare hate on
Jeanito…now there is a guy that must know what ALOT of other guys pee pee taste like…yeah, I went there.
I think this Tim hate is overblown. His two fights before Fedor, with Vera and Nog, were both exciting. He pressed action in both of them and threw hard.
What you all forget is he was having back injury problems for a long time and it affected his performances against Monson and Randy. He got surgery after the Randy fight and since then he hasn’t been boring one bit IMO.
Wow. Enough with the excuses already. It seems like everyone who loses have an excuse nowadays. If the injury is so bad that affects your performance, then pull out. Shogun, Nog, Timmay, etc. No more excuses, please, for the love of God! This is MMA not Ultimate Excuse Championship.
I for one enjoy hearing how creative some people (mainly fans of the fighter) get with some of these excuses.
Can’t we have a few more fighters like Forrest Griffin and Wanderlei Silva, who after their losses just give it up to their opponent and say they were the better fighter that fight?
Probably not.
I am the bastard love child of Junie Browning and Diamond Dave Kaplan.
I’m not making an excuse for why he lost to Randy. I’m explaining why he was slow, flat footed, and resistant to go hard during the performances with Randy and Monson.

That is an excuse for why he lost. Why couldn’t a guy lose because the better man beat him? Two fighters who are equal in every way will fight to a stalemate. A fighter who loses is usually deficient in some way, be it slower, more flat footed, or chinny. Every fighter is injured sooner or later and that’s a fact of any sport. Never mind that Tim Sylvia has always been slow, flat footed, and cautious ever since the loss to Arlovski.
When Mir sucked, he sucked. People didn’t give him a pass because he got in a motorcycle accident. People just accept that he was no longer the same fighter he once was. Now, the excuses are flying everywhere for every beloved fighter. Lesnar didn’t win legitimately, he won because of a lucky shot to Couture’s back of the head. Lesnar won because Couture is too old. Nog lost because he’s been in too many fights. Something must be wrong with him because there’s no way he could lose like that!
If they accept a fight, then they need to make sure they’re prepared to fight. If they step in the ring, then they need to throw away the excuses. Why accept a fight only to go back and claim injury which diminishes the winning fighter’s victory?
Arona was notorious for throwing out excuses for why he lost. This is a contagious disease that seems to be catching everyone like a flu virus. These fighters should just suck it up like a man and admit that the better fighter won.
The Vera fight was a snoozer. Fifteen minutes of Sylvia and Vera pressed up against the fence doing not friggin much. Yes, Vera was equally to blame, but given his last two fights, I think that we can all say that Vera was not the fighter we thought he was, whereas Sylvia is exactly who we thought he was (thank you Dennis Green).
The Nog fight was more exciting, but mostly for Nog’s resiliance and the finish. But I personally am not much of a fan of watching Nog walk into punches, back off, walk into punches, back off, walk into punches, get a take down… Maybe because I’ve been doing that since he fought Heath Herring like seven years ago. Either way, Timmay wasn’t making that fight exciting for me, though he gets credit for effort (he was dropping bombs like a madman).
