This is a great card that speaks to the superb matchmaking in Sengoku; they do a great job of working with what they’ve got, and building up their own stars. Misaki vs. Santiago has the potential to be one of the best MW fights in a while.
I’m really stoked about Misaki vs Santiago. The winner will really have to be considered one of the world’s top middleweights. I’d love to see either of them fight Cung Le or Frank Shamrock in Strikeforce.
His fights (trigg aside)
can be tremendously entertaining because he has that tendency to get floored but not be hurt. See vs Akiyama and vs Riggs

Talk about a non-sequitur.

I didn’t even know this was happening until recently – was there any coverage of it, or did Dynamite!! obscure it?

Its gotten the usual amount of heat from Japanese blogs, though Dynamite certainly did overshadow it to a degree. English blogs have never really been too keen on it though; most fans couldn’t tell you much about their headliners like Kitaoka and Misaki, let alone the mid-card guys like Mitsuoka. Sengoku isn’t as sexy as DREAM or as easy to access as UFC; its just good, solid MMA.
I wish I had known about it – I like Misaki, and him vs Santiago is a great match-up.

Search around for a stream
Getting a stream for Sengoku can be alot more difficult than pretty much any other event but its often worth it. I would recommend looking into an MMA fighter that was arrested on gangrape charges earlier this year and from there maybe delve into his unique fighting style. If that don’t help you I don’t know what will lol.
Gimme 1 Round!
I can confirm...
that the above implied site does have a stream set

I get the reference, but can’t find the site! Is there some Random Task I’m missing in the search string?

And all you need to know about Mitsouka and Kitaoka
is that Mitsouka beat Hellboy recently and Kitaoka is probably better at leglocks than Aoki and equal to him in many other grappling facets.
