All the Coleman post-fight video is incredible.

Whats a CT (??) that he got so upset about?

A CAT/ CT scan which would have an impact on any suspension I believe.

What does the CT have to do
with a suspension? I understand it could stop him from being sanctioned for another fight, but how does the suspension come into play?

A CT scan could help clear him to prove that he has no facial damage and allow him back in the ring faster. My feeling is that he doesn’t want a CT scan for other reasons. He likely didn’t need one to fight in Ireland and I’m sure the UFC was aware of that in advance when they booked this fight.

coleman
He needs to retire, he is to mentaly tough for his own good, he is going to get killed if he keeps that up, however i for one would like to see one last fight, mark coleman v ken shamrock, who wouldnt love that for say UFC 100 both guys go hang em up afterwards?

rather watch paint dry of Diego Sanchez vs. Josh Koscheck II or heck Dan Christenson vs. Frank Mir than Shamrock/Coleman

Yeah...
I’d honestly like to see Coleman get one more payday. But not Shamrock. Shamrock doesn’t deserve it at this point.

Coleman has tons of heart and I have not read anywhere (thus far) of anyone giving him credit for that. Everyone thought Shogun was going to run thru him.

Actually I found a few comments here on another post.

But in essence...
Rua did completely dominate him outside of the homo-erotic man-on-man mat-hugging in the third round. Rua should have run through him and had many chances when he was hurt but lacked the gas to finish him off…stop with your stupid jumping knees and capoeira kicks!! But ultimately it was an utter beatdown that just got prolonged by the fact that Rua was so gassed I’m surprised the entire front 5 rows didn’t pass out from all the wind he was sucking.
Yes Coleman had heart to endure the extended beating, but I really didn’t feel like it was a matter of his fortitude holding him up so long in the face of being overwhelmed rather than a fighter that had him on the brink several times but lacked the gas tank to land the final few blows.

Maybe Dana gave him the $40,000 because he has no plans to bring him back.
I can’t see any other reason why that fight would be fight of the night.

In hindsight...
they should have used the Chute Boxe-Hammer House beef to put W. Silva back on the right track at 205 if that’s where they want to keep him.
You’d have all the footage of Coleman stomping on his head in street clothes and the frothing Silva…and after seeing that fight, Silva would have spectacularly sent his head into orbit after the 35second mark when he’d stuffed the telegraphed takedowns and landed a few haymakers.
Now you have the painfully transparent attempt to foist Liddell back into an immediate title shot (after Rampage, if he beats Jardine) for beating someone who is clearly no longer (or never was) the fighter we thought.

All that footage was really cool to see. I really wish more of that stuff was in the Dana vlogs. I really wish we could get a bit of Dana talking to Coleman after the fight. I’m curious how that went down.

Umm….what was so controversial about the Coleman/Shogun stoppage?

Coleman felt he was still defending, because grabbing the referee’s ankles is a sure sign that you’re working for takedown.
