Does anyone know what happened to Ryan Hall???

I heard that Ryan Hall was kicked out of the Lloyd Irvin academy I know that some of the editors of this site are students of Lloyd Irvin and was wondering if anyone knew why he wasn't training there anymore. I know Lloyd Irvin had spent a lot of time promoting him and his line of triangle choke videos and was even featured on Mike Fowler's no gi made easy video so why the sudden departure from Lloyd Irvin's academy.

I was going to ask Luke the same thing

Didn’t think anyone else was interested, really. He opened his own gym, to my knowledge. It’s called 50/Fifty.

Ryan was not kicked out of TLI. Each party decided to part ways mutually. There is no bad blood.

Ryan and Seph of 50/50 BJJ will be on MMA Nation tomorrow.

He’s a very talented purple belt that used to train with team Lloyd Irvin he’s most well known for his triangle choke I think he has like over 200 in competition he’s put out a couple of dvd’s that are really good if you train jiu jitsu.

Isn’t he the guy with the upside down guard? I seem to recall a comp fight where he had his ass pointed to the other guys face and the other guy didn’t want to engage because he have to get hi face close to ryan’s ass.

That sounds about right based on what I’ve heard from what I’ve heard from my instructor, who is an TLI affiliate.

It’s been a while, but he did teach us a way to regain your guard by basically flipping upside-down, and I remember him mentioning Ryan Hall. But, he mentioned Ryan Hall quite a bit.
