Luke, is T.J. podcasting all of these? Work and travel is going to keep me from listening to most of these, and I would love to hear your spot with Jordan.

They’re gonna chop up “highlight” podcasts but they said they’ll also make a full 24-hour file available.

That’ll certainly be fun to sift through.

I vote for replacing TJ DeSantis and Lotfi Sariahmed on a permanent basis.

I’m just saying two hours feels like such a tease.

I didn’t hear them today, but I find Luke’s show and TJ’s show to be the two I enjoy most.
Sherwood’s show on the other hand usually ends up in a debate about about abortions, polygamy or anything else under the sun – they take on the listeners in whatever they want to discuss, aside from MMA. And trust me, I gave this show plenty of rope.

Listener calls, blogging and MMA, lots of UFC 93 talk, mailbag. Maybe more.

I’m pretty pumped to hear everything with Breen, especially his segment with Mr. Thomas.

Kudos to Luke and Jordan, for a very intelligent discussion.

Luke’s take on blogging is interesting to say the least. Both these guys do a phenomenal job taking on issues that don’t necessarily have cut and dry answers. Good stuff.

Heh I can’t believe Luke ended the talk about how King Mo is a huge fan of MMA and a student of fight history by saying he is a “character” and an “athlete”. The conversation was otherwise very refreshing, if you heard either of his Sherdog interviews it sounds like Mo watches a LOT of MMA. His breakdown of Lyoto’s style was spot-on.

counter offensive fighters FUCK YEAR!!!!

It was a good 2 hours, I found myself agreeing with a lot of the stuff about the various MMA blogs. The echo chamber effect in particular is a phenomenon that most people don’t fully appreciate. Dana and the UFC are especially adept at injecting certain viewpoints into the stream that are continuously repeated until they become canonized as the popular opinion.

I don’t know what was said on the show, but people repeating each other is one of the things with MMA that makes me bang my head against the wall. ESPECIALLY about Fedor. After this year, you’d figure that people would form their own opinions or at least take the time to reconsider fighters’ skills instead just believing what they hear.
I think one problem is that many analysts lack the technical eye to break down a fight, and the proper perspective. Not that these people don’t exist, but many of the top talents would be insiders who don’t tend to let much slip. This is why I was glad when about a week ago, MMA Junkie was able to get a pretty good insiders view of how Ken Hahn reformed Mir and their strategy for the Nog fight. Definitely recommended reading.

Ken Hahn’s posts on Junkie during TUF 8 were really great too. Not the stuff that happened on the show, but he would put up videos and written explanations of different striking combinations. It was great stuff.

That was the best Jordan Breen show in awhile. You guys work well together. Any way that can happen more often?

I have no idea, but to everyone who listened and/or donated: thank you very much.
