I would think betting on Belcher is a smart move. Kang has been sucking it up lately and I predict an upset, if you could call it that

Belcher is a nice underdog bet, but I wouldn’t push too much money into it.

Alan Belcher.

To a lesser extent, Chris Lytle.

Then, why not, Franklin. I feel like he’ll win.

I think Lytle is really under rated. I like him a LOT. He is a guy that doesn’t have any wins that jump out or I could point to and say, “well, he beat X”. But he looked good in his last two losses v. some top level WW. I mean he was crushing Alves until the cut stoppage. Kos is just plain more well rounded then Lytle, but I can’t say the same for Davis. If Lytle can beat Alves on the feet then he can beat Davis and Davis won’t go to the ground with him. Davis dug his own grave with the shit talking for this fight.

I’d hardly call what Davis did leading up to this fight “shit talking.”

I also wouldn’t say Lytle was crushing Alves before the fight was stopped. Sure, I thought he was clearly winning, but it’s not like the fight was close to being stopped in Lytle’s favor or anything, and obviously Alves cut Lytle badly enough to warrant the stoppage, which means he was blocking at least a few of Alves’ shots with his face.

I don’t think he was close to stopping Alves, but on his way to a great win and a 30-27 win on my card. He was controling the match and Alves has dramaticly improved his stock since that fight. Lytle is top notch and really improving. Davis was playing mind games and really trying hard to get Lytle to stand with him. I think it will happen and Lytle will still win. I think he will finish Davis, maybe on the ground, but he will control on the feet first.

Lytle is a good bet as well… He has an iron chin, and he has submissions whereas Davis doesn’t. Davis hasn’t been great on the floor either.

Not Saying

Davis is better than Lytle on the ground, but to say Davis doesn’t have submission is not correct. Actually, he has more wins via submission than via knockout..

True

True, but I think Lytle is way more credentialed and far more dynamic in the submission game that Davis.

i dont get why hendo is the favorite here. He hasnt been impressive in any fight he’s been in since coming back to the UFC.. Ya sure theres punching power, a chin, and good wrestling. But i think he’s lost a step or two since his pride days. And franklin will pick him apart standing and his tendency to brawl will be the end of him in this fight..

I predict that after 93, lots of people will whine and say hendo sucks, he’s old, he should retire blahblahblah..The usual crap people say when a fighter at his age loses.

I couldn't agree more.

I have thought that Henderson has been lacking as of late also.

Short Term Memory

A fighter is only as good as his last fight. Hendo hasn’t looked great but if he shows something against Franklin & wins, everyone will forget that he lost a couple of fights to some high level guys (Rampage & Silva). Still, I think Franklin’s standup is too good for Henderson & should win a tough decision. Like Couture, I wonder if Franklin will be reborn in the higher weight class now that he’s a more mature fighter….

i hope he does well in 205..

if silva didnt come to the UFC, franklin would be the most dominant 185 champ. I just hope that iWHEN he wins, he doesnt go back to 185 and fight bisping.

I hope that the winner of franklin/hendo gets machida then winner gets the next title shot. Forget TUF… the loser should fight bisping.. haha.

Hendo has looked way tentative his last few fights. Don’t think he can get away with that against a guy like Franklin who knows how to finish.

Just parlay something:

Franklin, Lytle, Schafer or Mendes, and maybe… Mohr?
50 bucks turns into 900! Just do it.

ha, I couldn’t imagine a worst sports bet than a MMA parlay.

Are you kidding?

LOL, are you joking? It’s the most fun you can have. Hell, laying down 10 bucks and pushing 4-5 fights is somewhat fun. I won’t delve into my success, but UFN 13 was monsterous for me on the parlay end. Boestch was my only pick I didn’t get.

Can Any of you dudes help me here...

I have somewhat of an idea how the betting works (maybe not) can anyone help me out here and explain exactly how it works.
I wanna bet on: Franklin, Shogun, Horn (praying he pulls off a submission for the upset) and Mendes. Let’s say i wanna throw 30 of Franklin, 20 on Shogun, 10 on Horn, and 30 on Mendes.. How do i go about it with the betting odds and all, how much will i get in return etc. Thanks dudes.

Negative betting lines indicate favourites; the number indicates how much you would have to bet to win $100. The positive lines indicate a dog, with the number indicating how much you would win on a bet of $100. After that, it’s ratios, so take Shogun as an example:

400 bet / 100 return = 20 bet / x return, or a hefty $5 win.

Going the other direction, take Horn:

100 bet / 255 return = 10 bet / x return, or $25.5 back.

Someone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

No problem!

I actually don’t even gamble; I just like odds and math. Let us know if you win big.

And

only reason im betting so little money is i guess my test run on online mma betting. Only other gambling I did online was poker. Thanks again.

Henderson's latest fights

5. Beat Belfort by decision
4. 1-punch knockout of W.Silva
3. 5 round WAR with Rampage
2. Annihilation by #1 UFC fighter, A.Silva
1. Beat Palhares by decision

This not a record to be scoffed at. Rampage is the #1 LHW contender, and even against A.Silva, Henderson won a round. A fairer critique of Henderson is that he, like other wrestlers, has a tendency to win boring decisions.
