Possible Rampage vs. Wanderlei Silva at UFC 91?
Fronted by Luke Thomas.
According to FightTicker the two have been offered a spot against each other on the November card that will feature Couture/Lesnar.
MMARated.com is reporting that a light heavyweight bout between Rampage Jackson and Wanderlei Silva has been offered to both fighters for UFC 91.The show will be held on November 15th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas,NV.
The show's main event between the returning Randy Couture against Brock Lesnar has had the MMA world abuzz this week and the addition of this fight could only help draw even more PPV buys to what may already be a record number when all is said and done. The card will also feature a lightweight bout between Kenny Florian and Joe Stevenson and a possible matchup between TUF season 7 winner Amir Sadollah and Nick Catone is also being rumored.
Silva has two previous victories against Rampage in the now defunct Pride organization.
It will be interesting to see which Rampage shows up. Will it be the man who rose to glory to defeat Chuck Liddell or will it be the disturbed man we have seen lately? I personally hope that Jackson can work through all of his troubles and give us a performance that could lead to "Fight of the Night" honors.
This could make for a great start to a huge card. It'd be really interesting to see if Rampage can really be in the right mental state to take a fight with Silva by November, given all of his problems of late. But if it goes, that'd be two huge fights to look forward to.

Oh my dear lord
Count me in for vegas. I’m working on convincing my friend to schedule his bachelor party for that weekend. Either way I’m gonna be there.

While we're at it..
90 is sick too. It’s possible that we’re just going to see great cards from here into the forseeable future (and hopefully just from now on). The talent is there and the notoriety of the 12-15 best fighters is continually rising. Being a fan of MMA, and UFC/WEC in particular, is very exciting right now.

Beware of Wand Thai Clinch
Poor Page….Even though it was a while back when Wanderlei kneed Rampage’s face into a leaking faucet hanging over the ropes, I think, like Rampage got Liddell number, Wand got Rampage’s.
I think Rampage waws intimidated the first time they butted heads in the ring. Not one of their fights, the time when Wand came into the ring in PRIDE when Page called him out. He look skeered then….and it showed in the next fight.
I would like to see the old Wanderlei back, smashing faces, and looking demented in the meanwhile

agreed War Wanderlei guy has always been of my favorite fighters he didnt get the Axe Murder nickname as just a Marketing tool dude was sick in Pride..i just hope he can recapture some of the violence he had in pride..although the rule differences will keep him from ever being able to be 100% wandi

Randy might catch a beating but he’s gonna get rich doing it. They keep stacking the card like this and it might break 1.5 million. Personally I hate to see Rampage take the fight so soon from a mental breakdown. Whatever though, I can’t freaking wait to see who else ends up on this card and watching them fight it out.

No ropes for Rampage to fall into this time
I have never seen a Superman-Kryptonite situation like I did when Rampage was annihilated twice by Wandy. Franklin-Silva, maybe, but STILL. I’ll take Rampage though, the cage is different and I bet he’ll come out like a man possessed… he’s certainly already shown he can do that…

Uhh..
I think Rampage has a significant chance to beat a post-prime Wanderlei if the matchup does happen. His striking is literally a decade ahead of where he was at in Pride, and with Silva not being nearly as aggressive and versatile as he once was, I can easily see Rampage knocking on Silva’s glass jaw just like Henderson did.
Shogun, on the other hand, is an alien. He is what Wanderlei used to be and more. I think Rampage knows this and would way rather face Silva on his way to another title shot. That said, I don’t think he is AFRAID of Shogun, and I think that if Rampage gets the belt again he wouldn’t have any qualms defending it against anybody.

I would argue
Wanderlei is the same guy physically, but hasn’t been nearly as aggressive as he was in Pride. I think the cage changed his mentality and that after his success going for broke against Ultra Goatee, the old Axe Murderer could be back. And, something else to keep in mind— Rampage and Wanderlei hate each other. It’s like a divisional rivalry in team sports; all preconceptions and current standings get thrown out the window. That’s a recipe for some delicious mayhem.

While this is the probable match don’t hold your breaths…
There is now word and a possibility that it’s Rampage vs Machida for number 1 contender.

Ahhh...
He is a Wolflair fighter now. Might even still be there, so far as I know.

Whether its Wanderlei or Machida....
…..I think Rampage is still in a fog. He shouldn’t be fighting, and will get destroyed by either man.
