DREAM.6 Update: Overeem vs. CroCop, Kharitonov vs. Mighty Mo Added

Japan MMA has the scoop:

Added:
HW: Mirko "Crocop" Filipovic 23-6-2 vs. 28-11-0 Alistair Overeem
HW: Sergei Kharitonov 15-3-0 vs. 3-0-0 Siala Siliga "Mighty Mo"

Middleweight GP Reserve Fight:
Yoon Dong Sik 4-5-0 vs. 0-1-0 Andrews Nakahara

Previously announced:
DREAM Middleweight Final: Winners of semi-finals

DREAM Middleweight Semi-Finals:
Melvin Manhoef 22-4-1 vs. 22-2-1 Gegard Mousasi
Zelg Galesic 9-3-0 vs. 9-1-0 Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza

One can only hope CroCop's fight against Overeem will help to bump ratings beyond the 10.0 mark. I'm personally cautiously optimisitic as I see the middleweight tournament potentially being quite excellent. And while the Sik vs. Nakahara fight portends mediocrity, Tokoro vs. Yamamoto should be an absolute barn burner.

Still, though, the star power on this card is lacking. One hopes for more promising signings and soon.

CroCop, Overeem, Mighty Mo, Manhoef…this is looking more like a k1 event then true mma.

It can look all it wants the last I looked Dreams is still MMA. And good exciting MMA at that !!! CroCop-vs-Overeem is the HW fight I am most excited about so far this year. I hope this Dream does great TV ratings so it’s future starts looking bright and we always have BIG MMA in Japan.

They’ll be good fights for sure. I just don’t think alot of the fighters will be tested outside their comfort zone. For an all around future in mma you need to be tested on all levels. Works well over there though.

Overeem and Kharitonov are both very well-rounded fighters

I can’t seem to be able to stop my belief Overeem is on roids, though I have no proof. But your right they both are and Sergei is very talented.

The Dream website has 7 fights listed so far they should be adding another 2 to 3 fights to this card real soon ? I would hope,Each Drams so far has had I believe between 9 and 10 fights. I really would like to see another atleast 1 possibly 2 big names added to this card.
