I’ll have to try these “beer” and “pizza” things they seem so keen on…

They got me pegged. Beer and pizza every time a PPV is on. :/
(Except when Wandy fights – then it’s the rice and the chicken, or the chicken and the rice.)

I love how they both regurgitate the same company boilerplate, just sequenced differently.

They’re called talking points, which is about as common to high level company reps as breathing air. What, are they supposed to disagree?

lol, as if I don’t know what talking points are. Boilerplate is apt here too.

Eh, “love how they both regurgitate” seems negative to me. I’m wondering what you expect them to say.

I wonder if them conceding that most fans get a group of 8-10 people in a group to split the costs…will cause them to up the PPV prices again?
I linked to this article..and mentioned it here

They won’t up the prices until they need to to continue making their profits.
The point of PPV is to get together with your friends and watch it. The numbers haven’t really been going down, and raising the prices will only cause the numbers to go down, especially with the economy the way it is today.

Well, they’re definitely on message. I’m certainly not surprised by their answers. In my mind it’s more a question of extent. To what extent will Zuffa’s business be negatively affected by a tough economy. Saying that tough economic times are good for their business is hard to take seriously.

I would say that tough economy = less spending.
If I was tight on extra funds, I would still likely order UFC, but I would be less likely to spend on shows like Affliction.
