UFC 91 Ticket Sales
Ticket sales for UFC 91 are off to a fast start, but the show did not sell out today. Sources indicate to Bloody Elbow that total sales up through this point are the highest ever in terms of dollars spent, but a lot of tickets remain due to extremely high prices. They also reformatted the seating chart a bit to fit the maximum number of people in, because they are aiming for their highest gate ever.
It's an interesting gambit charging the highest prices ever during such tumultuous economic times. Even if they do sell this one out, and I do think they will, they are going to bleed Las Vegas dry with three straight major PPV shows in November, December, and January.
I've included the chart with prices below the fold to give people an idea of the prices for this one. I think they need a good fight second from the top to sell it out early.

It’s rumored, not signed yet. They may decide on doing it as a result of not selling out, but the fight is not a lock as of right now.

Surprises me that they don’t add Rampage/Wandy to the New Year’s card since it looks like most of the big name fighters are booked.

My Fight Club membership expired so I decided to wait and get some tickets when they went on sale to the general public.
I was logged on and ready at 11a.m. It took me about 20 minutes just to be able to find some available tickets. The only tickets I was able to get a hold of were $300 upper level seats. These were the same seats I purchased for $100 attending UFC 84. Although there is not a bad seat at the MGM arena, $300 for some upper deck seating watching it on a screen just didn’t seem worth it. Although I was looking forward to attending this event, I’m not upset since I’ll have an extra thousand bucks in my pocket for the holidays.

Yea, the prices on this fight are tough. I think they have to add Rampage-Wandy to justify the increases.
I ended up buying 5 of the $300 seats in row C so hopefully being close to the front of the section will make it worth it.
I had floor seats for Silva-Henderson and I was not very happy with that view as far as seeing the fights. I found that the first level off the floor is usually perfect and the 2nd level isnt bad at all.

Another thing I noticed was that ticket resale sights were immediately stuffed full of tickets for this event. I’m wondering how much of the initial rush was actual fans and how much was scalpers hoping to cash in on a UFC publicity blitz.
