As would be expected, Clay Guida and Houston Alexander got the biggest receptions — well, pretty close with Arianny, I suppose. Probably about 500 people or so showed up for the weigh-ins.

must have been, he’s stated in previous threads that he was going to the fights.

Hopefully he has time to do some liveblogging. heh.

Yeah, I got there just a few minutes before they began. A few more random observations:

It was pretty amazing that everyone hit weight exactly — not even anybody one pound or one-half pound over.

Tracy Lee was there taking photos.
Jens Pulver was making the rounds in the crowd.

Mac Danzig got a pretty good reception, too. If he wasn’t fighting Guida I think he’d be pretty popular.

Ryan Jensen got the coolest reception of the local guys. I’m not surprised. I’ve talked to a few guys that have trained with him locally and they say he’s just a complete tool, full of himself, and thinks he’s way better than his combined 2 minutes in the UFC would suggest. Kind of hope he taps again.

Rogan mispronounced Mike Massenzio’s name and had to be corrected. McFedries and Massenzio were the only two who did not shake hands after they “posed” with Dana. I don’t know if there’s something there, if McFedries is just really intense, or if he’s a bit of a dick — but he took forever putting his pants back on after he weighed-in and made Massenzio stand there waiting to “pose” and then turned away immediately so there was no chance of a hand shake.

Houston Alexander just looks like a physical freak. I’m curious what his body fat percentage is, because it can’t be very much.

Dana looked huge compared to the 155’ers.

Arianny looked fabulous in person. Of course. No sign of Edith again, though.

Rogan announced Alexander and Shafer as the first fight that will be shown on Spike. According to the weigh-ins, Diaz and Neer is the main event and final fight.

I’ll definitely try to get online tomorrow night and write up a BE “Exclusive” First Person review of the event.

Edith’s body is ridiculous but she is kind of a butterface.

I just recall not too long ago UFC said Yahoo partnered with them to show live events. Not sure if it was just ppv events or all events. Should be live stream.
