Emerson

I work out at the same gym as Rob – and I have to admit that he’s been looking good in sparring & grappling – he’s definitely in shape. I just hope he fights to WIN this time instead of fighting to not lose, as he’s done in recent fights. A win over Manny is certainly possible and – in my opinion at least – Rob needs an exciting fight & a stoppage, either KO or Sub. Another boring decision won’t do much to help his struggling UFC career.
On a side note, Jared (J-Roc) Rollins, who HAS had an exciting fight – although a loss – (with Jon Kopenhaver) is recovering from his torn calf. He’s pissed about the injury and about having to withdraw from his fight. He’s definitely ready to fight mentally, so hopefully after he heals, he’ll will be on an upcoming card & get the exposure he deserves.

Lesnar

I have to say, Lesnar’s punches look a lot more quick and honed then they did 5 months ago. He’s looking a little more toned too. I think we are seeing a completely different man than we did his first [UFC] fight.

Eh

His punching speed and combos are ok, but his guard is still terrible. He is wide open for an uppercut EVERY time.

Luke – funnytiger mentions on another post that Lesnar has mind boggling quickness. Not sure if that has really been displayed in his 2 mma fights. I did watch both of them. Maybe I missed something.

Wow, over 70% of the ticket sales for the fight are from people out of state. I thought most of the crowd would have been Minnesota citizens. I bet most of the audience will be Canadians.
