MMA Nation
I like how I’ve been on the job less than two months and I’m already #4. CISED.

Good job! MMA Nation is good stuff. I spent the last week listening to your poscasts.
Personally I miss the format of AGS (previews and reviews).

Well
Considering I’m the only one who is actually, you know, on the air, shouldn’t I be #1 by default?

True you are on the air, but it sucks that I can’t listen live. Maybe I’ll have to pack up and move to DC.

People really like MMA Sunday School? I listened to the first couple shows and couldn’t take it anymore.

It took a few shows for me, but after that I was hooked. Sunday School has me laughing out loud every show. So bad it’s embarassing to listen in public places.

Fight Network has the best put together show, its just tainted by wrasslin talk.
Be sure to check out Fightlinker’s podcast if you hate MMA and want to hear a couple of drunken idiots nitpick on fighters’ appearances, pass along bogus 3rd hand rumours and generally avoid any actual, substantive fight talk. Seriously, I tuned in a couple times and as a fan of MMA, I was pretty embarrassed for them.

“Fight Network has the best put together show, its just tainted by wrasslin talk”
another good show is Between the Ropes out of orlando….. they are kinda similar in that they mix in the wrestling with the MMA stuff….. wish they would do separate shows, they are both entertaining and informative…..

Oh, com’on. Fightlinker Radio is good for what it is: an over-the-top, unselfconscious mix of somewhat knowledgable MMA talk, (un)common sense analysis, and the kind of stupid jokes that we all laugh at when no one is around. Their description of the Arlovski-Rothwell fight was one of the best ever. It included lines like, “Arlovski unloaded a combination out of a goddamn video game”, and “The finish was so good that it made me puke from the sheer awesomeness, and even that was great. It was like ‘AWWG, my puke tastes like candy!’” I mean, you can’t take it seriously, but it’s got some news value embedded in there, and it can be fricken funny. The show they did high (constant Diaz brother jokes included) cracked me up.
And yes, it doesn’t really belong in the same conversation with these other shows because it’s just not intended to do the same things. But I listen to it at work or when I’m cleaning the house, and it makes the time pass much faster.

FIve Star Radio with Mike Coughlin
Tough Talk with Mike Sawyer and Oliver Copp
MMA Nation with Luke Thomas
That’s it, that’s the list.

I ended my subscription to F4W once every 5SR was basically Coughlin bashing Sherk every few seconds while fellating BJ Penn and every B&V was them half asleep and half assing the show. I’ve only heard the Sawyer/Copp combo when they had their own show off of F4W, it was solid with great stories from Mike.
Besides the callers trying to be his soulmate Breen’s show has no equal.
I’d like to listen to MMA Nation but with Breen’s show, the Breen episodes of Beatdown, Between the Ropes, Fighlinker’s Low Blow, the free F4W shows and the Bob and Tom show I just don’t have time.

MMA Nation is worth defnitely worth listening. Breen usually saves the good stuff for his show, unless there’s a good interview/.
