Interesting to hear Fitch think this fight will take place on the mat. I’ve got a sneaking suspicion GSP plans to bang with him.

i remember

one interview where Fitch said all GSP does since Serra KO’d him is wrestle his opponents

you thinkin that might be motivating GSP to keep it standing?

But he seems focused on the ground element of this match up. The fact is, even though Kos fought GSP he didn’t really fight him that much in the standing. And on top of that, we haven’t seen much of GSP’s stand up in recent fights. That means it’s much harder for Fitch to prep for that element of the game. Add to that Fitch’s desperation when Wilson was giving him the business in the stand-up and the fact that on the feet is where there is the greatest disparity in their ability and you’ve got the recipe for a stand-up fight.

Wilson was really getting the better of Fitch I thought, I think there was one exchange later in the fight where Fitch got the better of it, but I also think that might be GSP’s ticket. Marcus Davis is calling it just the opposite and thinks Fitch will look to keep it standing and GSP will try to wrestle it out
