Congratulations to Lloyd Irvin and Other No-Gi Mundial Winners

Big congratulations to Master Lloyd Irvin for winning the No-Gi Mundials this past Saturday (black belt senior 1 division). Irvin is a phenomenal coach and competitor, but more importantly, he's an unbelievably tough human being. To compete for international titles after breaking and reinjuring his neck is absolutely stunning; to win them is barely comprehensible. Hats off to the legendary coach for another fantastic performance.

Full results from the tournament here.

Kurt Angle won a gold medal after breaking his neck. More impressive than winning the world championships in BJJ.

Was that really necessary? No. It wasn’t.

Hindsight being 20/20, I have no idea why I even wrote that. I feel like a jerkass for having done so.

I wanna be like Lloyd Irvin when I grow up.

I can only dream of being at that level, and there’s nothing wrong with my neck. Colour me impressed.

Sweet. I’m from Naples and I have been thinking about going over there to train. To bad I’m in the land development business, as there is no work which means, no money for me. I’ll head over for the 30 days free part of it and see what happens after that. Congrats to all the fighters especially Lloyd.

Nashville MMa, a Lloyd Irvin affiliate, brought back a few too.
