Wow

If you weren’t a James Irvin fan before, you will almost have to be after this fight. He is showing tremendous heart and class in the weeks leading up to this fight. When I first heard of this matchup, I didn’t give him much of a chance but acknowledged his knockout power and his ability to end this fight with one punch. But the more I hear him talk and recognize his head is screwed on straight for this fight, I really like his chances to make this a battle. Remember, Rampage himself said Irvin has hit him the hardest he has ever been hit in MMA.

I am officially NOT buying the Affliction card now.

Sandman’s got a great attitude. Win or lose, I’m sure it will be more exciting than anything Tim Silvia’s in.

Major props to James Irvin. That is a likeable fighter. People were counting him out (for what reason, I have no idea) against Houston Alexander, and he destroyed him. Same thing this time, albeit this is a tough matchup.

Irvin is extremely athletic and powerful. He could pose some danger. Props to him for taking the fight. I’m rootinfg for him.

BTW, nice clips of Irvin knocking Thiago Silva across the ring and then knocking him down with a kick. Irvin was tooling Thiago until the knee injury.

Coincidence that laughter erupts when Irvin proclaims that the fight will go for a while?

I am picking James to win this fight.

Going for Irvin

It’s time for Upset of the year, although not in my opinion, but I think James is being counted out here by the majority

all you gotta do is...

I like Irvin. I kinda hope he wins this.

I hope he wins also. Irvin wants to beat Silva in the clinch? I gotta say he’s got balls, but he’s also got skill, very athletic, with excellent knockout power. Strip all that away, and he’s got a puncher’s chance. Hey, whatever happens, this should be an exciting fight. I’m expecting a highlight reel finish either way. This probably won’t get out of the first or second round.

For Sure

no need for a 5 round fight here. Irvin said after his last match against Houston that he expected one of them get KO’d. I think the same applies here

all you gotta do is...

Give him the Guys Choice award for Biggest Brass Balls.
