The Lawrence Journal-World of Lawrence, KS, stopped some random folks on the sidewalk of downtown Massachusetts Street yesterday and asked them if they'd ever watched any of that crazy cage fighting that the kids are into these days.

- "Once at a friend’s house. He loves it, but it’s not for me."

- "I have seen it a couple times. I thought it was interesting that they would want to compete in something so dangerous with so few rules. But I might watch it again just to see how crazy those guys are."

- "Actually I have. I thought it was really exciting. I think it’s really cool to see what they are capable of and which martial art works best in each situation."

- "Absolutely, all the time. I actually sell sports equipment for MMA, so I might be a little bit biased, but I think it’s probably about where NASCAR was 10 years ago. As long as they play their cards right, it should be huge."
