There Must Be an Immediate Rematch

Tonight's main event saved what was an otherwise boring show.  Forrest and Rampage really let it all hang out, and the fight was so close that the only appropriate thing to do is to book a rematch.  Personally, I scored the fight as a draw.  I gave rounds one, three, and four to Quinton for landing more powerful shots, and gave two and five to Forrest, with two as 10-8. One thing I absolutely can't understand is two judges out of three giving round one to Forrest.

Either way, I don't feel like either man clearly bested the other tonight.  They should fight again, and soon.

Other fights first

I want to see Forrest vs. Chuck and Wandy vs. Rampage for the No. 1 contender spot. There’s too many interesting matchups to do a repeat after 5 rounds.

I couldn’t agree more. There are way too many fight for both of them to have a rematch anytime soon.

I couldn’t agree more. It was a fantastic fight, and Rampage deserves another shot. There should be a clear champion before someone else gets a chance to fight for the title.

I think Rampage deserves a shot, but I’d really like to see him fight Silva first because I find that fight way more interesting.

The fight was a draw. It was obvious Forrest won the second and 2 points is justified. Plus I think he ran around enough to not engage, yet remain in control of the cage to win the round. Making it a 3/3 split. I think refs have family members place bets. No way should they have Rampage fight Silva next. He deserves to fight someone other then Silva right now. Plus it doesn’t set it up enough for a big down the road showcase, instead of undercard status they would both be in.
AND Ibarra should retire like he promised. What pro boxing coach let’s their fighter come in so cold he’s ashy??? Did the whole camp mock Forrest?

I’m confused. Which rounds are you saying you gave to each fighter?

No Rematch...yet.

Forrest winning is the best thing that could have happened… He’s like the UFC’s version of Rocky Balboa, to Rampage’s Apollo Creed…Dana has the star that he wanted. I’ll get off of my Soapbox now.

A rematch won’t happen right away, because now they are going to make Rampage fight Silva. If he wins, he gets his rematch. But if Silva wins, there’s no way they let him fight Forrest. Forrest would simply get destroyed in that fight, and Dana loses his poster boy. Forrest will probably fight Machida, or more that likely, the winner of Liddell vs Rashad. And they’ll probably be rooting for Rashad to win that one, because chances are Chuck would crush Forrest.

Forrest is turning into Randy Couture. He has been the dog in the past 2 fights, and handled both fights a lot easier than expected. This may be the start of a trend.

The president of the huge,”Redbelt” fan club vomitted garbage all over. Then you would respond diplomatically. Then he would make the exact same point, just with more words and with less sensibility. I actually enjoyed the show.

The fight sounded like it was excellent, even though the decision wasn’t what you guys wanted. If the decision went the other way, people would be bitching about it just as much.

One thing to remember is that you got to see a great fight. Two of the top 2 light heavy’s laying it all on the line. It’s about the sport. Decisions are almost always going to be contraversial in a great fight. I wish every fight would get people this emotional.

An excellent point

I’m sure we would have people complaining either way

Same with the Rampage~Henderson fight! I dont think either bested eachother and should have both been declared a draw IMO. Rampage keeps his belt!

all you gotta do is...

Yep. Had Rampage taken the decision I would be bothered because that’s just not the way I saw it. I wouldn’t be crying “fix!” though.

LHW devision out of wack !!!

I don’t care who gets the belt in the LHW devision it really does not matter they won’t hold it long there is a bad match up for every fighter in the devisdion and every fighter and beat the other on a given night. I can’t see any oone holding that belt for more then 3 fights that devision is the most stcked devision in the UFC Hell ths sport of MMA and the UFC has all the talent. All I know is really don’t want to see Chuck with that belt again. If I were to put money on it and I am not the biggest fan of his I think Machida is the only fighter who can hold the Belt for some time. Face it people even thought 75% of us are bored to death buy his fighting style Machida is our Next LHW Champion.I think he takes a easy win over forset ?
