Today on "MMA Nation" we'll be talking to former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current Pancrase Open Weight Champion Josh Barnett as he readies for a rematch with Pedro "The Rock" Rizzo at "Affliction: Banned" on Saturday, July 19th.

We'll also be talking to BJJ instructor and MMA fighter Seph Smith. Seph is a black belt in Sambo, brown belt in Judo and Purple Belt in BJJ under Lloyd Irvin. He'll be joining us to breakdown what techniques and strategies Rampage, Griffin, Almeida and Cote need to use to win this Saturday at UFC 86.

welllll…...guy’s are never very happy if you intimate that they are working a fight…...even if they are….just not a good topic to broach…..very good interview overall, though…. i thought Barnett had a good counter to wamma belt being meaningless,...basically said the belt is only as good as the competition that fights for it….. and then listing the big time talent in the affliction heavyweight divsion….

Heavyweight

...is the only division that REALLY works for that quote. Well, lightweight also. But they can’t say “we’re meaningful! Look at the heavyweights!” and then have most divisions where they can’t put on a meaningful fight.
