Saturday on MMA Nation on 106.7 WJFK: Heath Herring, Michael Rome
Saturday on "MMA Nation" we'll be talking to "The Texas Crazy Horse" Heath Herring as he readies himself for a showdown with Brock Lesnar at UFC 87: Seek and Destroy. We'll ask Heath about training with Rob Kaman, his thoughts on the Affliction show and whether wrestlers have an advantageous style when fighting him.
We'll also be talking to Bloody Elbow Staff Writer Michael Rome who attended the Affliction show last weekend. We'll talk about the difference between the live and televised experience, where Affliction goes from here and whether the event was a success.
"MMA Nation" airs every Saturday 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 106.7 WJFK. To listen live over the Internet, go to WJFK's website and click "Listen Live".

Questions for Heath Herring
Another week, another opportunity to do Luke’s job for him! Help me out people! I’ll start:
- Heath, is the haircut supposed to draw attention away from the general ugliness of your face, or is it specifically designed for fight night to hide the bruises after Brock smacks you around in the same way that Mir put that hat on to cover his forehead?
- Are you worried about passing your post-fight steroid test after Brock gets done sweating all over you?
- When you came up with, “The Texas Crazy Horse,” did your friends not try to stop you, or were you too drunk to listen?
- Was the problem that Nakao wasn’t a good enough kisser, or that you didn’t like him making your relationship public?
- Tell me about your training for this fight: would you say you’ve spent 75 or 90% of your time working on leg-locks?
- Is it true that after the fight with Nog, you said, “Best 4 out of 7?”

I had
a similar haircut once, but it was only because my clippers broke.

Why did he accept this fight? How does he feel about Brock Lesnar being in the UFC? If he wins this fight, who does he want to fight next if he had the choice?

![A little publicity for me today in the Washington City Paper. To wit:
But listening to Kinard, it sounds like management has decided Thomas can transcend his surroundings.
"We thought we’d experiment with some different kinds of shows last year, and of all of them, MMA Nation is the only one that lasted," Kinard says. "I wasn’t aware of anybody else doing [an MMA show]. And [in April] he outperformed our normal weekend ratings by more than double. We started out thinking this has the potential to be a nationally syndicated show, and that’s still our plan. You see MMA all over the place on TV, so why not on the radio?"
I hate to be over the top with the self-promotion, but no one is going to hand me the job and career I'm after. I want to work in MMA full time and the fact is I have to make it happen for myself. Thank you to everyone who has ever shown me an ounce of support towards the pursuit of that dream.
