Rampage Jackson No Longer in Hosptial
White originally said Friday that Jackson was to be held for 72 hours, but that the time period would be extended. Jackson instead was reportedly spotted at the Affliction card in Anaheim on Saturday night, just after the 72 hours would have expired. White essentially confirmed Jackson's attendance at the rival card, saying he had asked White's permission to attend. Jackson still has not spoken publicly about his eventful week. And White let him attend? I suppose you can't stop the guy from attending, but this situation just got infinitely more odd. Is his alleged manic episode over? Is he still in need of constant medical evaluation? Why hasn't the UFC said anything formally? What is going on? HT: Cage Potato

I mean he is sponsored by Affliction…so that explains his attendance somewhat…Maybe he couldn’t travel out of state due to his charges or something?

My interpretation is that he had a breakdown (obvious and so they wanted to evaluate him)
That breakdown is not of such severity that he is a threat to himself or others (because they released him)
and he attended the fight to show that he is not in a rubber room.
Sounds like he had a meltdown, crashed a few cars, and is now out and about. Its not like Cali is very hard on the rich and famous, so he shouldn’t even do any time since nobody got hurt.
also read this
in the same article yesterday on Sherdog thats said he was there
all you gotta do is...
went back to look
I read it in the first comment on Cage Potato that mentioned the Wrestling Observer radio Show hosts went over to Rampage and it wasn’t him.
But if White said he was there I’m not sure what to believe
all you gotta do is...
Dana may have been trying to cover his arse. He was questioned at the UFN post-fight press conference about Rampage being there and he stated that Rampage asked him (Dana) about attending and Dana okay’d his attendance. In reality, Dana probably didn’t know anything about Rampage being there, but wanted it to appear that he was in the know about Rampage’s whereabouts. Not a big deal.
Off Topic...
I just heard Keith Jardine annouce on a Radio show that he is fighting Brandon Vera at UFC 89
I think Rampage is going to be back far sooner than we all think. Having taken classes on mental illness, the general sense I have is that chronic mental illness does not just pop up overnight. It’s something that gets progressively worse over a number of years. What happened with Jackson sounds more like a psychotic break or mental breakdown than anything else.
