Affliction needs to get PPV via internet stream.
I am not sure how much money Affliction missed out on last night but I know they didn't get my 39.99 which I would have paid twice to see the full event. I watched the Fedor / Sylvia fight on dailymotion but I would have enjoyed sitting back last night to watch the full event. I went for the free UFC stream with OnDemand but would have chosen Affliction first were the option available to me. I believe that Japan, my home, would have been a very significant amount of revenue for Affliction's event but it just wasn't available. I thought Donald Trump was a genius when it comes to making money. What were they thinking? The issue of unprotected stream is moot since people get the videos from Youtube and Dailymotion anyway. Most people will just pay the 40 dollars and this includes so many other countries besides Japan. Affliction needs to offer the PPV via internet stream for their second event. If they do not then I may have to fly back home to Canada to watch I guess. I have faith that this will be remedied for Affliction 2 but this thread is my "heads up!" call to the new dog in town. Cheers.

Great point. Having a show with Fedor, Barnett, Minotoro, even Goodridge, and not making it available in Japan in any way seems like a huge missed opportunity.

Donald inherited most of his money from his old man and is hardly a phenomenal businessman.
Anyway this does sound like a good idea, especially in this age of Internet-enabled game consoles and whatnot.

It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to shoot Affliction a quick email about that. Something as simple as internet streaming for the world market can be overlooked when trying to put together a promotions first show but is very important to making the business profitable.
At the very least it will help demonstrate that the demand for their product is there.

I was made aware of efforts through the Affliction message board and the poster who sent the letter received a reply regarding protected stream concerns. As I said, this is a moot point since the event can later be viewed for free via Youtube or Dailymotion. Most people do not know how to steal streamed info so I think that Affliction would have made a lot of $$$ if they had made PPV available through the internet. I agree with what you said about the first event. I hope they work this out for the second. Thanks for the replies. Cheers
I'll be back to add more in the next twenty-four...unless, by some mishap, someone K.O s FEDOR.
