* Irvin has one hour to make 206 pounds

I haven't seen this reported at any other blogs, so I don't know if Irvin has cut the final pound and a half yet.  I doubt the bout is in jeopardy as Anderson has already shown in the past with the Travis Lutter fight, but it definitely adds another element of intrigue to the main event.

*UPDATE* From UFC.com:

Irvin initially weighed in at 207.5 pounds but made weight on his second attempt an hour later.

Ouch!

Imagine if Irvin wins. Not only that he gets a huge locker room bonus for taking the fight on short notice and beating the best p4p best fighter in the world, gets Fight of the Night and KO of the night bonus. Failing to make weight will cost him big time.

Not sure about normally, but he told Gracie Mag he was 220 at the Jungle Fight show last weekend.

Yea, he’s said he walks around at 100kg in multiple interviews. I find it hard to believe he walks around at 220, but he doesn’t look like a small 205, based on the pics.

Irvin had trouble making weight because he has been drinking so much of his kool-aid!
