Hideo Tokoro Involved in Car Accident
Not a good week for mixed martial artists and automobiles. Thankfully, Hideo Tokoro's incident yesterday didn't result in his arrest and, according to Kamipro, was only a minor fender bender. Unfortunately, it sounds like it may keep him out of his upcoming bout with Takeshi Yamazaki. Translation from SukiMMA:
Hideo Tokoro, who was recently announced his participation to DREAM 5 on July 21, had an car accident on July 16. He was on the way going to see his doctor for check-up. He was ran into from behind and suffered an injury on his back that would take a week to heal completely.
Tokoro is coming off an amazing battle with Darren Uyenoyama at DREAM.3. Video of that after the jump - even if you're not typically a fan of Japanese MMA, it's highly recommended viewing. Potential Fight of the Year stuff, even.

Fizuck. That would’ve been such exciting fight. Guess we’ll have to wait until DREAM.6 for the conclusion of DREAM’s mini-featherweight GP? Hopefully next year they’ll have a full blown 16 man version.
