Huge daps to Sherdog for streaming the full event for free, hopefully there's more of that in the future.

Some notes after the jump.

Star-divide

- Rodrigo Smurf withdrew from his middleweight bout with Jorge Michelan for unknown reasons.

- Yes, you read that right: Eduardo Telles scores the head kick KO! Easily the most impressive showing and biggest upset of the night. As innovative BJJ practicioners are concerned, few are in Telles' league; however the inventor of the Octopus Guard possesses little actual MMA experience and was not favored going into this fight against Gracie Fusion product Sapo. Yet Telles stood impressively and traded with his previously undefeated opponent for brief duration of the fight, before turning out his lights with a ridiculous right high kick which landed flush behind Sapo's left ear.

- Gracie Fusion lightweight "Edu" Pachu improved to 6-1, running his win streak to six in a row as the Muay Thai striker recorded his first submission win following five straight stoppages.

- Nova União fighters went 2-1 on the night, with lightweight Henrique Mello and middleweight Leandro "Batata" Silva both recording first round knockouts to advance to the semifinals of their respective GPs. Silva's KO was especially impressive, as "The Potato" starched Rodrigo Pimpolho with a powerful left hook.

- In attendance: Shogun, Ninja, Jacare, Pe de Pano.

Even Breen was raving about the Telles head kick.

The main event was straight up robbery. Takafumi won rounds 2 and 3 for sure. I can’t believe he was able to be so effective at 155…he looks like he could make 135 without much trouble.

My highlight of the night was the guy tearing into the crowd and hauling that huge woman (his mom?) over the railing. That was more impressive than his win.

haha, that was amazing. It was Monteiro, and I sure hope that was his mom.
