Phil Baroni Wins At Cage Rage
Phil Baroni made a successful adjustment to welterweight with a highlight reel knockout win Saturday at Cage Rage 27: Step Up at the Wembley Arena in London.
Baroni landed a right hook to send his opponent Scott Jansen, a product of Cage Rage's "Contenders" feeder show, flat on his back in the first round.
Baroni, who apparently can't escape odd incidents even outside of the US, walked over to check on his fallen opponent only to receive a headbutt from someone out of Jansen's corner. Baroni simply backed off to avoid escalating the situation.
Not much to say except it was a must-win and he won. Well done. As for the controversy, it's Baroni's M.O., intentional or not. That sort of thing comes with the territory when he's around.

To The Bloodyelbow crew from venezuela
hey guys, its been a while since i wrote here, because i lost my account here, but i did another one, because i think this new worth it, if you remember a long time ago i wrote to you that mma in venezuela just don´t exist because no one knows about it. it turns out that this year will take place an event called “Copa Caracas” (caracas is the capital of venezuela) that basically is a martial arts event, but this time will include 3 MMA Fights, im not sure who came up with the idea, but to me, a fan of the sport is awsome that finally mma is in my country, the best part is that some people from the ufc will come to caracas looking for talent, venezuela is next to brazil and here are a lot of good BJJ guys, in fact the guy who star BJJ in venezuela is Francisco Salvador a Black Belt Under Carlson Gracie. Any news about the event i will post it here, the article is in "ufcespanol.com" the official ufc page for latin america, and if you wanted i can translate the whole article here!! Once again Thanks for the good work you do every day in here

You can post news like this in the fanposts section. Then you won’t have people berating you for it in the comments. In any case, it’s good to hear that MMA is gaining ground in South America outside of Brazil.

I didn’t even bother reading the first post.the topic is about Baroni’s win not stupid BS no one cares about.I don’t care if Jansen was a can.a wins a win.I can’t believe how calm he was about the head butt.
No, that didn’t make any sense. Terrible stand up.

In case anyone gets the wrong idea – the incident after the fight wasn’t Baroni’s fault at all. The knockout had the other kid on the floor for a good 5 minutes – Baroni went over to check on him (for the second time), and was trying to shift past a guy from opponents corner, who in turn tried to nut him. Classy. Anyway, Baroni just put his hands up and backed away, so good on him.
I haven’t seen cage rage for a while now, but fuck me sideways, it seems to have got worse.
That was crazy
Great to see Baroni get a good win under his belt and to see him at 170
That head Butt was totally unnecessary
all you gotta do is...
the brits doon't like those wankers wrestling on the ground
I know some fighters from England and they say the crowd hates it when the fighters stay on the ground. They have a differen’t opinion of how an MMA fights should be. How many awsome grapplers come to mind when thinking of British fighters. Not all people from england are like who we see on T.V all proper and classy some are straight thugs. watch a Guy Ritchie movie LOL he’s totally famous and look at SLORE he’s with. Think of soccer over there you can get beat up for liking the wrong team in the wrong city. A yank knocking a home town boy the F@#k OUT was just too much for the bloke to take. Baroni is a true professional for not engaging that guy, He just got paid to knock someone out why should he do it for free. This ain’t two for one night.
