Nick Diaz vs. Thomas Denny?
On Elite XC's July 26 CBS card, Nick Diaz will take on...Thomas Denny:
EliteXC lightweight Nick Diaz (17-7) will meet former King of the Cage champion Thomas Denny (26-16) at the next EliteXC-CBS "Saturday Night Fights" event, which takes place July 26 at Stockton Arena in Stockton, Calif.
Sherdog.com is reporting that bout agreements should be signed today.
EliteXC had planned for Diaz to rematch lightweight champ KJ Noons in his next bout later this year, but with the organization heading to Diaz's hometown, plans apparently changed.
This is an interesting risk they are taking. Diaz should really beat Denny 9 times out of 10, and this way they hype up a future fight between Diaz and Noons in front of millions of people on CBS, who will want to come back and see it in October.
Then again, Diaz has not looked good of late, and a loss here would blow the whole thing. I think it's a good move, because they do not have enough time to hype this fight correctly, and Diaz should win this.
Props to Sherdog and MMA Junkie.

Guess that puts the end to Nick Diaz in DREAM for a long time.
Who will fight Sakurai now? Maybe a rematch with David Baron under the DREAM banner?
Yeah...
...that fight he was clearly dominating until multiple fouls stopped him.
