"Tito has done a very good job creating a 'Brand' out of himself. He should get paid good money. He was important to the resurgence of the UFC. What that number is the real question. If the UFC is unwilling to pay what Tito wants then he should pursue some of promotion (like he is).

Ken and I were paid extremely well for what the market was available. It is not the same as it was then as to what is it is today. That would be like Babe Ruth complaining about what ball players get paid today.

Tito's an idiot

Tito even said himself that the UFC offered him a contract before his last fight that would have paid him more than any other promotion out there. He says its about money, then he says its about respect, then when asked what the right amount of money for him was he said he didn’t know and that he’d have to talk to his lawyers. The thing here is that Jenna is the real yoko fucking ono. She’s whispering all this shit in his ear about how he should be making more money and this and that but like metzger said things are different between then when he was the face of the UFC and now where he’s still a big draw but he’s clearly not a top 10 light heavyweight anymore. Making money selling yourself fucking girls and guys is a tad bit different than selling yourself beating the shit out of peopl ewhen you’re not beating the shit out of anyone anymore.

Hopefully Tito starts his own promotion so he can then realize that theres a difference between Revenue and Profit for a show and that as much as he thinks he’s a “business man” he really has no idea what it takes to run a fight promotion.

I know i’m replying to my own post but i know he thinks he’s going to be able to draw half a million people to his PPV’s. He is a big draw and i think that he would do more draws then the affliction show. Most of us here can safely say were the Hardcore fan rather than the casual. If tito had a pay per view where he fought Frank Shamrock, Kimbo, or whoever else I probably wouldn’t buy it. so really wheres his draw coming from? the casual fans that would probably still pick a UFC event over his?
