What Happened to Danzig vs. Guida at UFC 87?

It was rumored that UFC 87 would feature a bout between Mac Danzig and Clay Guida. However, on Mac's website it says...

Forget what you heard! Mac is NOT fighting at UFC 87, or in August at all! Mac will most likely fight in September, and the fight has not yet been signed.

Well, if that is the case then what has become of Danzig vs. Guida. It makes sense that this would not occur at UFC 87. There are already two lightweight bouts on that card that may be on the main card in the Florian vs. Huerta fight and the newly announced Edgar vs. Franca fight. Could the Danzig vs. Guida fight be the headliner or co-main event of Ultimate Fight Night 14, which will kick of the Ultimate Fighter 8?

I got a chance to get a picture with Clay at the weigh-ins on Saturday for yesterday’s WEC bouts at Arco Arena. I told him that his fight with Huerta was epic and wished him luck against Mac to which he replied, “Thanks”. Don’t read too much into that because he was a busy man with lots of people wanting to shake his hand and get a picture, but I did want to share my experience.
