More proof EliteXC protecting its fighters

On mmarated.com, Ariel Heilwani posted a Post-Fight Interview with Gary Shaw, and you can check it out here.

http://mmarated.com/users/video/163/538.html

Basically Shaw says he won't let Kimbo fight Rogers yet, because he hasn't built himself up to fight a name like Kimbo, even though clearly both guys want this fight after that press conference. Shaw also admits it's about the money. Pretty much Shaw has just told everyone, yes I am protecting Kimbo, and no you will not see Kimbo fight anyone dangerous to him. Oh and isn't ironic that he'd rather make Rogers face Antonio Silva, probably so that he could shut Rogers up from wanting to call out Kimbo and expose EliteXC's golden boy. What a slimy prick.

Antonio Silva...

may be one of the most overhyped men on the planet. The dude had a hard time with a fat Ricco Rodriguez who couldn’t hack it in YAMMA for christsake.

From a purely business standpoint

it’s not overly surprising that an organization would protect their golden boy/girl. The UFC has done the same with Huerta when they were slowly building him up. Big name boxers like Mayweather, I believe, have huge records filled with cans fed to them.

The despicability comes in when they go to other lengths to protect their prize cock. As many have stated, the difference with the UFC and EXC is that the UFC isn’t afraid to take gambles. They’ve shown it with Huerta when they faced him against Guida, and now against Florian.
