UFC Spike Show on July 19 is "On"?
Fronted by Luke Thomas.
According to MMAMania.com , "the UFC will indeed go forward with a Spike TV event on July 19 despite some recent reports that claimed it wasn’t going to materialize":
As we mentioned in our previous report, promising heavyweight prospect Cain Velasquez is expected to compete on the July 19 card against a soon to be announced opponent. Brandon Vera — who we can confidently report is making the drop to light heavyweight — has been asked to headline the event. There was some valid speculation that he would take on Wanderlei Silva; however, it appears that “The Axe Murderer” will not accept the bout because he does not have enough time to prepare. The hunt for someone to challenge “The Truth” is still ongoing.
In addition to Vera, Velesquez and others, there are a handful of fights already slated for other events that will be shuffled and added to this card. We’ll pass those along to you as soon as possible.
The UFC July 19 show will take place in Las Vegas — most likely at The Palms Resort & Casino.
Guess we'll have to stay tuned to see if it's another false alarm, but it looks like the July 19 UFC show might just be on afterall.
UPDATE: It's a go, and UFC will announce the main event on Saturday night on Spike TV. (Source: Saucylv33 on the underground forums, a well-established UFC employee.) The poster claims the main event is "exciting."

god damnit now i have an affliction. What should I do? My brother and I were going to get Affliction show on PPV but if the UFC is going to be throwing a free event what should I do? Damnit UFC you just had to cock block affliction didn’t you. If it wasn’t bad enough that they probably wouldnt hit more than 40,000 buys, and thats being generous, now they’ll be lucky if they do 15,000
