They exaggerate how good the match-up is for Rampage vs. Griffin and don’t show any highlights of Cote getting owned by Lutter? Yeeesh.

It always cracks me up to see Joe and Dana talking like they’re being interviewed by someone. But you never see the interviewer, and no one ever asks a question. They just blurt out answers to questions that were never asked.

Gotta love the UFC hype machine. By picking and choosing which highlight clips to throw in, they could probably make George Bush’s Iraq policy look like military brilliance.

What would u have them do? Do a hype package talking about how Cote is a B level fighter who got smashed by the guy who couldn’t make weight against A. Silva, and subsequently looked horrible against Rich Franklin?

IMO it’s not as bad as EXC’s blatant bandwaggon mentality mentioning UFC as much as possible to try to dupe casual viewers that they are an equal counterpart… Or Gary Shaw calling Frank Shamrock pound for pound the best in the world, until Cung Le won (and then Cung is p4p)... While calling Kimbo the Mike Tyson of MMA’S landscape, and THEN blatantly saying that UFC doesn’t have the best stable of fighters in the world.

People make constant mention of the “UFC hype machine” but they aren’t the only ones doin it, they’re just the best at it.
