With a loss to Frankie Edgar and then 4 decision wins… 2 of which you can argue Tyson lost. (Guida and Tavares)
I’d guess a couple more fights… hopefully one against Nate Diaz.
I’m of the opinion that you can only argue he lost those fights if you didn’t watch them.

The Guida fight was pretty close. I had Guida winning on my scorecard, but it was one that arguably could have gone either way.
My problem with Tyson Griffin so far has been that he lost to Edgar and hasn’t finished a fight against anyone else since. At the very least, his wins against Guida and Tavares have been “controvlersial” or debatable. He certainly hasn’t been dominating in them. Nonetheless, he’s got the wins on his resume. I’d like to see him get solid wins against a couple more people before talking title shot, myself.
how the heck does anyone have Griffin beating Guida?
At the end of the fight Clay had him down and was whaling on him. The first two rounds could have gone either way, but the third round was all Guida. Tyson knew he should have lost, watch his face when the decision goes his way - total shock.
I scored the Tavares fight for Griffin but could see it going the other way - the only way its a clear cut decision is if you give points for top position.
I have Griffin winning rounds 1 and 3. The entire round counts. Not just the last few seconds.

I think the winner of this is pretty close to a title shot, maybe 1 more fight.
Unfortunately for Tyson, I think Maximus will take it.
"They said you was hung!!"
"And they was RIGHT!"
based on what?
Maximus got exposed pretty badly by Guida and I think Tyson has better standup and better wrestling than Clay. The fight won’t go down unless Tyson wants it to. Could be a pretty ugly fight though since Tyson isn’t exactly the KO king.
