Josh Thomson Hates Dog Fighting, Trains For Melendez
Current lightweight champion Josh Thomson has joined Cung Le as the second Strikeforce fighter to record a PSA for California-based non-profit Knock Out Dog Fighting. The program is organized by For Pits' Sake, Inc., who "has recruited the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) to help teach children that dog fighters are losers and that it is not a sign of strength to torture helpless animals."
Testify, Brother Thomson:
Dog fighting is animal abuse, plain and simple. Torturing animals is not cool; nor is it a sign of being a real man. Real fighters stand up for what's right and protect those who are unable to do so.

While you're at it, you may as well check out the newly-uploaded student film Fight Training with "The Punk," which documents some of Thomson's training for his much anticipated title defense against "El Nino" Gilbert Melendez at Strikeforce's June 27th event in San Jose.

Jerome Turcan looks exactly like Jimmy McNulty from The Wire in that picture.
Also they definitely need a PSA with Cain Velasquez holding some puppies.

I bet he discourages dog fighting but has no problem eating a steak from a slaughtered cow, hypocritical fuck.
“I only protect animals if they are cute and pretty. If they are livestock however, I have no feelings for them at all and will eat them off my plate.”
Nobody cares about your views Josh Thomson, just fight and stfu.
Yeah because those two things are exactly the same. How about you “stfu.”

They’re both animals and both get injured. The only difference is cows die, and dogs get hurt.
I guess they aren’t the same since we breed cows to be killed from birth, which is somehow more acceptable, veal which is a dead baby cow is considered a delicacy, most of which are less than a year old.
I am not a vegetarian or some PETA representative, but it’s hard to be upset about one kind of animal suffering when our society is fed by many animal’s suffering. It is called realism.
Veal tastes good. Cow tastes good. People, for the most part, don’t eat dog. These dogs suffer for no reason. If cows were made to suffer in the same way before I ate them then I would think twice, but they mostly die quickly. Veal arn’t allowed to move and are fed food, that is not the same a getting another baby cow to fight it to the death.
If people were going to raise dogs for food then that might be diffrent. Hell, I would support raising people for food before DOG FIGHTING.
Guys
This is a MMA blog. I realize it’s tangentially relevant, but if it’s all its going to do is cause discord, let’s have this debate another time.
The topic of this post was dog fighting, but you’re the boss.
