While We're Speculatin'

Fun from the fan posts, promoted by Kid Nate.

Speculation seems to be the rage right now.  Will Anderson Silva fight Chuck Liddell (or somebody else) in either a LHW or a catch-weight bout?  Is Vince McMahon taking over the UFC?  Is Floyd Mayweather going to be the next great mma star?  Is the UFC coming to Fox? NBC?  ESPN?  Is it true that Dana White and Bill O'Reilly are going to get inside the octagon for a grudge match with knees to the head of downed opponents and soccer kicks all allowed?

In the midst of this speculating madness, nobody is talking about the speculation that should really be trumping all of this.  During last Saturday night's pay per view show, there was a promo for TUF that included something about one of the next two episodes including "THE MOST SHOCKING MOMENT IN TUF HISTORY."  I almost couldn't contain myself enough to watch the rest of the bouts that night wondering what would be the most shocking moment in TUF history.  So I figured somebody here at BE would have been all over it by now and figured it all out.  But there's nothing here; imagine my let-down.

In all seriousness, this is obviously most likely just more of the UFC over-hype machine.  But I'm still curious what it's going to be.  Anyone got thoughts, rumors, or inside info?

On the one hand I could see Amir knocking CB out as a huge upset of this season's Michael Bisping / Mac Danzig (ie. the guy seemingly pegged from day 1 as the eventual winner).  While that wouldn't be "that" shocking, it'd be enough to satisfy the UFC people to call it the "most shocking" ever.  I could also see  Jesse winning his semifinal match (which would be an upset in and of itself) and then getting baited into punching Jeremy May right in his face and getting kicked off.  Again, not "that" shocking, but it'd be the first time somebody had earned the right to be in the final match and then gotten kicked out for a non-injury deal.  I also seem to remember some rumors earlier in the season about Forrest/Rampage going at it at some point during the season -- I'm thinking I saw rumors of Forrest choking Rampage out and other rumors of Rampage knocking Forrest out -- so maybe that's what it'll be; maybe Forrest will win the "HORSE" game next week and make a joke and Rampage won't be able to restrain himself from engaging in a tussle or something.

Anyone?  This is very important stuff, afterall.

CB Dollaway

I am going with Amir knocking out CB. Seems to be the only logical thing that would be somewhat shocking.

... and yet, I wouldn’t find that all that “shocking” based on what we’ve seen so far this season. CB is clearly the best all around fighter and has been the favorite all along. But Amir’s shown some impressive standup and the ability to take a shot already. It doesn’t take that much for the UFC to call it “most shocking” so that could definitely be it, but I wouldn’t personally be very shocked by that.

Hopefully it’s not house drama.

it likely is, all out war in the house or more serious destruction (fire perhaps)
