Video on Fox News about EliteXC and their disappointment. I thought it was interesting that the news ancor referred to the UFC as the premiere promotion and EliteXC as secondary. I am sure Dana White loved that. Also talk about Gina Carano's fight.

Something about seeing a news anchor wearing Affliction is just really funny. I have no idea why.
But at least people are admitting that the event was less than stellar. The next couple of days will basically be damage control.
I think the real story here is that these media folks were excited about MMA and they wanted to see the best. No ‘human cockfighting” allegations here. EliteXC will improve their primetime product (as if they could do worse, right?). Now, I do think that we have to discount some of the spin, since this is FoxNews we’re talking about. Nonetheless, this could be an indicator of the public impression. It could also be evidence of the public’s demand for favorites dominating and finishing in the opening round (which I find boring, personally).
