Marc Laimon Demands a Re-Count at Grappler's Quest

Video essentially illustrates the basic problem w/ bjj & sub-grappling competition imo. Subjective scoring, ever-chaning rules, politics, etc. Too bad, it's a fun game.

In fairness, almost every sport is regulated by referee judgment not technically what happens. In other words the call stands even if you can go to a videotape and show the call was off.

It obviously sounds bad to defend the referee judgment when it was in error, but if you look at the amount of waiting that goes on already in big sub-grappling tournaments I don't think reviewing tapes and timers is going to help with the overall flow of the events. And even with those tools you still have judment calls about where a guy's hips and body are relative to his opponent.
