Tito Makes His Case

Tito makes his case about money here.

There are all sorts of holes and misleading statements in his argument, but it is worth hearing.  The most laughable points are where he lies about paying 50% in taxes, as if he doesn't have typical high end deductions, and when he claims Dana White made 20+ million last year because he's a 10% owner.  His breakdown on PPV revenues is also misleading.

I think Tito has a strong point, I don't see the need to lie about numbers like he does.  Fighters obviously deserve to get more, the amount that was utterly wasted this year buying Pride and on the failed international expansion could have made many fighters very rich men.

Should your comment read "Tito has a strong point, BUT i dont see a reason to lie about numbers like he does." Otherwise it seems like you are suggesting Dana is lying about the numbers (not that he isn't), but Tito's quality of fights have been on the decline since Forrest. Unless he beat Machida, I dont see how he could be considered a contender. (Unless in a lesser org.) That is all it comes down to.

Michael Rome,

Taxes are no joke.  When you make over $150K/year, you're in the 46% tax bracket. No joke.

Re: Tito Makes His Case
Yes you are.  Of course, all people that make that much have very good accountants, and know how to get all the deductions possible.  The idea that Tito is paying 50% is laughable.  The deduction on the De La Hoya training facility alone is huge.
