There is one aspect that changes the MMA landscape daily moreso than anything else....INJURIES.
Injuries have prevented anticipated fights like Serra/Hughes, Lesnar/Coleman, and Shogun/Liddell among others. Injuries are a common occurance in EVERY sport. However, why do injuries seem more prevalent in MMA? I read a statement the other day that I found interesting. The statement was "If a fighter goes into a fight 100%...then he/she didn't train hard enough for that fight." I know MMA is still in it's infancy in more ways than one. However, with today's technologies and cutting edge equipment you would think that fighter's would train smarter and not harder.
