UFC 84 recap

Wow! We had some shockers at UFC84 Ill Will with Tito loosing to Layto
and Sean loosing to B.J. for the lightweight title. Silva coming out
of the hole with a brilliant performance over Jardine and now Silva is
probably going to look for another defeat over an even bigger name. I
don’t see him getting a title shot yet due to his 3 losses in a row
before the fight last night. Tito who now is rethinking resigning with
the UFC only willing to comprimise with the Ferrenti brothers and not
with Dana White, I think that he will resign due to the fact that the
Ferenti brothers know that he is a huge name in the UFC and has lots of
fans and Tito brings in the fans which brings in the $, which is what
Dana White wants.

Being that there were so many fast knockouts last night made it
acceptable for the undercards to come out wich turned out to be great fights.
This event was probably one of the best events that the UFC has
sponsored in a long time only due to the undercards and the good knockouts.

What’s next for BJ Penn? BJ , I think, has really no competition in
the light weight division after defeating Sean so in that case I think
he should move up to the welter weight division and maybe the UFC and
Dana White will give him a title shot facing GSP and then Sean needs to
win about 3 more fights in a row to earn back the respect that he lost
to yet again try to become the light weight champion.

Lotto might be getting a title shot soon.

The payouts were incredible with a $75K bonus for several of the
fighters. This just goes to show you that the UFC is rising to the top with
all of it’s popularity and MMA’s other organizations are growing
rapidly especially with Kimbo Slice and Elite XC.
