UFC 84: Return of "The Axe Murderer"?
"Everybody thought he was the Mike Tyson of the sport for a while. Who could beat Wanderlei? He was killing everybody...Just how intense he was and fierce he was and, more than anything, mentally strong. You never saw him break before. Even if things weren't going his way, he was fine and he would just keep coming back." -- Keith Jaridne

I hate intro music, smoke and mirrors. But I looove Wanderlei. I look forward to seeing this Jardine guy for the first time too. FWIW, this fight has pulled me back into watching UFC again since I saw what Dana was trying to do. Smart fighters here, with more respect and less smack talk. Good stuff.

Whoops, sorry. I meant first UFC fight to see in many years because I don’t like what that peacock Dana has been doing.

I think there are going to be a lot of heard broken Wanderlei fans tomorrow night. Regardless of whether he wins or loses, the Wanderlei of old will not be present Saturday night (most likely never will again). Those three back-to-back losses are going to have made him desperate for a win. Couple this with the fact that he has started training with Xtreme Couture and you have a much different fighter. When was the last time you saw an Xtreme Couture fighter go in there and fight with any sort of reckless abandon?
