A Victory For Fans

Randy Couture's "victory" in court is mostly a victory for fans, not for him.  Zuffa's motions to delay, dismiss, and stay were delaying tactics, and now that the court has dismissed them, we will get a ruling on HD Net's motion for summary judgment. 

This does not mean we are all that close to resolution.  Summary judgment is not an easy burden to meet, and if it gets denied, we may be in this legal process for the long haul.

Even if HD Net wins, that does not mean we will see Couture and Fedor fight immediately.  Regardless of Fedor/Sylvia, summary judgment is appealable, and Couture would probably be enjoined from fighting until the appeal was decided.
