Gracie threw a total of 5 punches in the fight, 3 from mount and 2 rabbit punches from half guard. I guess he doesnt really need to punch if he can get the fight to the ground but by the looks of his takedowns he’s gonna have a fit against fighters who aren’t willing to go to the ground and have slightly more takedown defense or slightly more weight than Kondo.

What do you expect? His advantage lies on the ground. The day he meets someone more skilled than him on the ground then maybe he can work his boxing. I also don’t see how this fight is a good indication of his takedown ability as he is 1 for 1 in that area here as well. Anyone who trains is going to have at least some rudimentary pummeling ability from the clinch. The entire fight lasted four minutes and would have lasted a lot longer had he concentrated on punching instead of just controlling and submitting him. People will find anything to nitpick.

Are any of these fights worth watching?

Just curious…I’m kind of busy today and don’t want to spend 2 hours watching “two turtles humping”.

Not really, but I haven’t seen the Barnett fight yet.
