I voted for the same Middleweight matches. Frankly, if you don't vote for Sakuraba v. Tamura, you are wrong.

I chose Aoki v. Uno and Alvarez v. Kawajiri, though. If you were to seed them out, I think most people would agree that Aoki is #1, Uno is #4, and Alvarez and Kawajiri would be either #2 or #3. Aside from that though, I think Aoki beats everyone remaining with the possible exception of Alvarez, so I was thinking that the winner of Alvarez v. Kawajiri would seem like a very strong challenge for Aoki in the finals, particularly if Alvarez wins. That would be very cool; two guys with success at welterweight determining who is the best Lightweight in the promotion, if not the world.

When you select a name from the list his face appears in the box, so you don't have to worry about trying to match up the Japanese names to the english.

I like Brent's reasoning on the brackets here. Am assuming that Aoki wins his next fight but you never can tell.

Sakuraba vs Tamura is just too old school to pass up. I figure Kin is the last seed and Mousasi is top seed.

oh, i think we will see Melvin before it is all said and done. Tamura isn't gonna fight Saku, so I see him backing out of the tourney all together. IF they do that, i could see them booking Saku vs Dong II, a fight he has a chance of winning, Saku vs Kin- ensuring a japanese fighter to the semis, or they could do what hey often do- book him to get murdered by someone like Mousasi.
