I think a lot of times people forget that Schilt isn't just another tall "freak show" fighter. The finish of his fight from the K1 WGP earlier today in Japan is just pretty.

ALbert Kraus was freaking robbed. Buakaw looked terrible, for him. I don't know if it was lack of elbows or the heavier K-1 glove, but he looked slow. Albert defended the power shots well, and delivered the cleaner hits. Welcome to Japan, where if you're fighting a hero, you'd better KO him.

LOL. No. Buakaw was the only one screwed as he should have been given the fight without it going to extra rounds. Kraus is a good fighter, but he shouldn't be getting points from charging forwards and unloading punches into his opponent's guard.

Also, LOL at Buakaw being 'a hero.' Perhaps you'd like to list other fights that he won because of this status you have conferred upon him.

You must not understand where he stands in Japan. Buakaw is like gold to most Japanese Muay Thai fans. For a Japanese man to even acknowledge MT is a statement, and for so many to cheer, well that determines his hero status.

Um, the Thai and the Japanese dont get along so well, if you didnt get the irony in the whole "the madness of the crowd" statement, but then again, you probably dont understand Japanese.

Your statements are so inaccurate that they are borderline foolish. Buakaw is popular in Japan, but he is not so much more popular than Kraus that he could win simply because of that (furthermore, you have yet to elaborate on how Buakaw's 'hero' status has won him fights, or even this fight?). And he is not a 'hero' to the general fans that watch MAX. He is not Masato.

You can say that he is a 'hero' to Japanese MT fans, but they are a small minority of those who watch MAX. To say that his popularity in a niche community of martial artists could possibly cause any sway in the judge's decisions is silly and completely incorrect.
