Fedor Offered EliteXC Deal?

That's what Nokaut is reporting:

A reliable source has confirmed ProElite, Inc. has offered Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko (27-1) a four-fight, 18-month contract.

A request for confirmation or comment from Jeremy Lappen, ProElite Head of Fight Operations, has been ignored.

The contract calls for Emelianenko's first two fights in the promotion to broadcast on American television network CBS as a part of the recently inked deal between ProElite and the TV giant.

The final two fights would air on pay-per-view and share proceeds with Emelianenko.

Re: Fedor Offered EliteXC Deal?
A deal that makes sense for both sides......Fedor is a no name as far as the mainstream...this helps build his brand and also allows for the big money on the back end with the ppv percentage.

Re: Fedor Offered EliteXC Deal?
I'd be shocked if he signed with them.

Re: Fedor Offered EliteXC Deal?
Beyond the fact that I don't think he'll end up signing with them.

Who is there for him to fight on their roster right now?  Antonio Silva...and then what?  Ricco?

I'm not saying they shouldn't pursue signing him.  I just don't think there are many compelling matchups as the heavyweight division in EXC is probably their weakest.

Re: Fedor Offered EliteXC Deal?
Wouldn't it be safe to assume everyone has offered Fedor a deal?
