Throwdown: When is your next MMA fight & with what organization?

Jacare: April 29, 2008 for DREAM 2 in Japan 185lbs weight.

Throwdown: Who is your opponent?

Jacare: I do not know yet.

This is an excellent addition to the tournament: he adds a little starpower, intrigue and most importantly, with 8 MMA fights under his belt I'm really curious to see what kind of a MMA fighter he is now. This will be his biggest MMA stage by far and will really let us take a lot at how he's built his skillset and adapted his grappling game for MMA. I, for one, think of his explosive takedowns and athleticism should make him an excellent candidate for successful MMA crossover.

Now if Dream could just get some damn ratings...

I wonder what they're paying him. Dana White said recently that he wanted outrageous money.

Either way, it's exciting to see him going against some of the quality opponents DREAM has already signed.

Maybe he didn't realize that yen and American dollars don't directly convert. Either way, 2 million sounded like a lot at the time.
